Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 31, 2026

1. Platform Role

Doula Destination operates an online platform that connects parents and families with independent doulas and birth-related service providers ("Providers").

We do not provide doula services, medical services, childcare, or birth support ourselves, and we are not a party to any agreement entered into between users and Providers.

2. Independent Providers

All Providers listed on the Platform are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Doula Destination.

Providers set their own services, availability, pricing, qualifications, and conduct their services independently of the Platform.

3. No Responsibility for Provider Conduct

Doula Destination does not control, supervise, or direct Providers and makes no representations or warranties regarding their conduct, suitability, safety, qualifications, or actions.

You acknowledge and agree that any interaction, service, or engagement with a Provider — including inviting a Provider into your home — is undertaken entirely at your own risk.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doula Destination shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, harm, theft, negligence, misconduct, criminal act, or omission by any Provider, including but not limited to:

  • Theft or loss of property
  • Personal injury or death
  • Harm to children or other persons
  • Emotional distress
  • Abuse, neglect, or misconduct
  • Failure to provide services
  • Any illegal or criminal acts

This applies whether such acts occur before, during, or after a service engagement.

5. No Background Checks

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Doula Destination does not conduct background checks, criminal record checks, reference checks, or identity verification on Providers.

Users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, interviews, reference checks, and verification before engaging a Provider.

6. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for:

  • Deciding whether to engage a Provider
  • Determining suitability for their family
  • Verifying credentials and experience
  • Supervising their home and children
  • Setting boundaries and expectations

Doula Destination does not guarantee outcomes and is not responsible for user decisions.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Doula Destination, its directors, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your engagement with a Provider
  • Services provided by a Provider
  • Your failure to comply with these Terms
  • Any disputes between you and a Provider

Important Notice

Doula Destination is a matching platform only. We help parents discover and connect with doulas and birth-related service providers, but we are not responsible for what happens once you hire someone.

Inviting someone into your home carries inherent risks. Please take appropriate precautions and conduct your own checks before proceeding.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@douladestination.com.
